This is the design that we have used on our bluebird trail for the past ten years with great success. Our newer pine Eastern boxes have some improvements over this box, such as a wider roof for side overhanges, and thicker wood. But, these are proven nestboxes in the field and we still have a few of these available that we are offering for a great price of just $15.95!
Important features are: standard side-panel opening, drainage holes on the floor, ventillation holes on the upper sides, a predator guard, sloped roof to reduce weathering on the roof over time, and a 1 1/2-inch entrance hole.
